Who these terms cover
These terms apply to independent professionals, agency owners, authorised agency staff and professionals attached to an agency who apply for or deliver services through House Servicings.
Acceptance of an application is not guaranteed. A profile becomes bookable only after the required identity, skill, service area, bank, tax and safety checks are completed.
Independent relationship
Unless a separate signed employment agreement states otherwise, an independent professional or agency is an independent contractor and controls whether to go online, which eligible offers to accept, and how to perform work professionally within the confirmed scope and law.
Nothing in these terms authorises a partner to bind House Servicings, collect unrecorded charges, make warranties on our behalf or represent itself as an employee. An agency remains responsible for its staff, wages, statutory benefits, supervision and permissions.
Accurate onboarding and documents
Provide truthful, current information and documents that belong to you or the authorised business. House Servicings supports alternative identity methods where legally appropriate and does not require optional private documents merely for convenience.
Material changes to identity, agency ownership, address, bank account, GST status, criminal/safety status, licences or ability to perform a category must be reported promptly. Verification records are handled under the Privacy Notice.
Skills, availability and job offers
Mark yourself online only when reasonably available for the declared area and hours. Offers may be ranked using skill, distance, availability, capacity, workload, rating and compliance history.
You may accept or decline an offer before acceptance. After acceptance, attend on time or release the job promptly. Operations may make a recorded exceptional assignment outside your usual service mapping only after confirming your competence and consent; safety or regulated work must never be overridden.
At the customer’s premises
- Match the platform identity and carry any required tools or protective equipment.
- Review the confirmed scope and obtain the customer’s start PIN only at the premises.
- Explain diagnosis, price and material choices before additional work or procurement.
- Protect property, avoid unrelated areas and never photograph or record people or homes without a service, safety or evidence purpose and permission.
- Do not harass, discriminate, threaten, solicit unlawful work or move the confirmed booking off-platform to avoid records or fees.
Price, marketplace fee and tax
For the initial commercial model, the marketplace service fee is 20% of the service value excluding GST and excluding separately approved pass-through materials, unless a category schedule says otherwise. GST on the House Servicings marketplace fee is added or accounted for as legally required.
The booking or settlement statement shows service value, customer tax, fee base, marketplace fee, tax on the fee, deductions, recoveries and net partner earning. House Servicings does not calculate commission on GST collected from the customer as if it were partner revenue.
Invoices, earnings and settlements
A partner must keep PAN, bank and GST status accurate and issue any invoice required from it. House Servicings may generate an invoice or settlement statement only where contract and law authorise it.
Earnings become eligible after the service and payment conditions are satisfied. We may hold or recover a specifically identified amount for refunds, chargebacks, duplicate payments, proven damage, tax withholding or fraud review, with a statement and dispute path. Undisputed balances are not withheld merely because another item is disputed.
Cancellations and reliability
Partners should release jobs promptly when unavailable. Repeated late cancellation, no-show, false availability or refusal of the confirmed scope may affect dispatch eligibility after fair review.
A customer cancellation does not create an automatic partner penalty. Any cancellation or travel compensation must be stated in the applicable category schedule and funded consistently with the customer policy.
Service quality, warranties and returns
Perform with reasonable care and skill, follow manufacturer and safety instructions, and use genuine or accurately described materials. Record completion and provide evidence or invoice where required.
Cooperate with a proportionate complaint, re-performance, refund or parts return. House Servicings will consider both customer and partner evidence and will not automatically debit a partner without a recorded reason and review route.
Safety, licences and insurance
Accept only work you can lawfully and safely perform. Electrical, gas, pest-control, chemical, work-at-height or other regulated/high-risk categories may require licence, training, insurance or special controls.
Stop and report unsafe premises, harassment, illegal instructions or a serious mismatch in scope. Emergency services should be contacted first where there is immediate danger.
Data and customer confidentiality
Use customer identity, address and contact details only for the assigned service, support or a legal obligation. Do not copy, retain, market to, profile or disclose a customer outside that purpose.
Remove local copies when no longer needed, secure the device and report suspected exposure promptly. Agency owners must restrict access to authorised staff and remove access when staff leave.
Reviews, suspension and exit
Reviews and operational metrics may influence dispatch, but fraud checks, safety incidents and adverse decisions require context and a review path. Manipulated bookings, purchased reviews or retaliation are prohibited.
We may temporarily restrict access for urgent safety, fraud, legal or security reasons. Material suspension or termination should state the reason and review route unless disclosure would compromise an investigation or law prohibits it. Final settlements remain subject to lawful deductions and reconciliation.
Disputes and governing law
Raise a settlement or operational dispute through the partner workspace or hello@houseservicings.com with the job and statement reference. Records are reviewed under the correction and recovery process.
Indian law governs these terms. Statutory forums remain available. Subject to mandatory jurisdiction, courts at Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan have jurisdiction. A separate signed agency schedule prevails only for the topic it expressly changes.
