How data is collected
We receive data directly from you, from an agency acting for its staff, from the professional assigned to a booking, from payment and communication providers, and automatically when you use the platform.
If you provide another person’s details, you must be authorised to do so and tell them how their information will be used. Do not upload unnecessary identity documents, secrets or third-party personal data.
Why we use it
Where consent is the appropriate basis, the request should be specific and separate from unnecessary purposes. Withdrawing optional consent does not affect processing already lawfully completed or records we must retain.
- Create and secure accounts; deliver OTPs and essential service messages.
- Quote, schedule, dispatch, perform, reschedule and support bookings.
- Match services using skills, area, availability, workload, ratings and safety status.
- Process payments, marketplace fees, earnings, settlements, refunds, invoices, GST, TDS and accounting records.
- Verify professional and agency eligibility; prevent fraud, abuse and unsafe activity.
- Handle reviews, support tickets, privacy requests, grievances, disputes and legal claims.
- Improve reliability, accessibility and service quality using aggregated or de-identified analysis.
- Send marketing only where permitted and preserve a simple opt-out.
Who receives data
We disclose only what the recipient reasonably needs for its role.
- Assigned professionals and agencies receive relevant customer, address, scope and visit information.
- Customers receive the assigned professional identity and service status needed for a safe visit.
- Payment gateways, banks, email/WhatsApp/SMS providers, hosting, storage, security and analytics vendors process data under contractual and security controls.
- Advisers, auditors, insurers, authorities or courts receive data where necessary for law, tax, safety, fraud prevention or a legal claim.
- A successor may receive relevant data during a lawful business reorganisation, subject to applicable safeguards.
International processing
Some technology or communication providers may process data outside India. Before enabling such a provider, we assess the purpose, access controls, contract and applicable transfer restrictions. We will follow any transfer restriction notified by the Government of India.
Retention and deletion
We keep data only while needed for the stated purpose, safety, disputes, accounting, tax, fraud prevention or another legal obligation. Retention is reviewed by record type rather than applying one unlimited period.
- Active account and address data: while the account is used, then deletion or de-identification after applicable legal and dispute holds.
- Booking, invoice, settlement and tax records: for the period required by tax, accounting and limitation laws, ordinarily at least eight financial years where GST records apply.
- OTP and security events: short operational periods, extended only for suspected abuse or a legal claim.
- Partner verification: while active and for a documented post-exit safety, audit, tax or dispute period; rejected optional documents are removed sooner where lawful.
- Support and privacy requests: until resolved and for a reasonable audit and limitation period.
Security
We use role-based access, encrypted transport, hashed passwords, OTP controls, audit logs, protected production credentials, backups, patching and restricted document review. No system is risk-free, so access is monitored and controls are reviewed.
Never share an OTP, password, gateway secret or service start PIN by email. If you suspect misuse, contact us promptly from the registered account where possible.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the applicable law and stage of the Digital Personal Data Protection framework, you may request a summary of processing, access to available account data, correction, completion, updating, deletion, consent withdrawal, grievance handling or nomination.
Use the Privacy Requests area after signing in, or email hello@houseservicings.com. We may verify identity, clarify scope, preserve legally required records and explain any lawful refusal. Optional marketing can be unsubscribed separately from essential service messages.
Children and vulnerable users
The platform is intended for adults. We do not knowingly permit a child to create a customer or partner account. A parent or lawful guardian must control any booking involving a child’s household and should avoid sharing a child’s data unless necessary for safety or service delivery.
Cookies and similar storage
We use essential cookies and local storage for login, session security, language, cart and fraud prevention. Optional analytics or advertising technologies must not be activated without the notice and choice required by applicable law.
Blocking essential cookies may prevent account, cart or payment features from working. Browser settings can clear stored cookies after signing out.
Automated matching and fairness
Dispatch tools may rank eligible professionals using service skill, location, availability, capacity, workload, ratings and compliance status. Operations staff can review or override a match with a recorded reason.
We do not use sensitive traits to discriminate unlawfully. A user may request human review of a significant account or eligibility decision through support.
Updates and grievances
We may update this notice when data practices, providers or law change. Material changes are highlighted before they apply to new optional processing.
Privacy and consumer grievances are acknowledged within 48 hours and targeted for resolution within one month. Contact hello@houseservicings.com and include the relevant account, booking or request reference without sending passwords or OTPs.
